What's the difference between oil-based and water-based air fresheners?

Water-based air fresheners are mostly water — they evaporate quickly and the scent fades fast. BLUNTOUT uses oil-based formulas, which are more concentrated and cling to the air and surfaces much longer. You get a stronger, longer-lasting fragrance with fewer sprays.

How long do BLUNTOUT oil-based air fresheners last?

Our oil-based formulas are designed to last significantly longer than typical water-based sprays. Depending on the size of the space and how many sprays you use, you can expect the fragrance to linger for several hours — not just a few minutes.

How many sprays do I need?

Because our formulas are concentrated, 1–3 sprays is usually all you need for a standard room. For larger spaces or stronger odors (like smoke or pets), you may want a few more. A little goes a long way!

Are BLUNTOUT air fresheners safe for pets?

We recommend using our products in well-ventilated areas and avoiding direct spray on or near pets. If you have concerns about specific ingredients for your pet's breed or health condition, please consult your veterinarian. How do I use BLUNTOUT air fresheners?

Shake the bottle lightly, then spray 1–3 times into the air or toward fabric surfaces (upholstery, curtains, carpets). For smoke or strong pet odors, spray directly into the affected area. Avoid spraying directly on finished wood, leather, or delicate fabrics without testing a small area first.
